CONTINUING EDUCATION GRIEVANCE POLICY

The Sibley Group is committed to providing highest quality continuing education, training, and clinical services. We conduct all activities in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers’ Code of Ethics, and provide trainings that meet or exceed the requirements of the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) which can be found in the ACE Handbook. We will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory throughout the process of promoting and delivering our continuing education programs. All trainings have been approved through ASWB ACE (Approved Continuing Education), and the Continuing Education Director monitors all programming to ensure compliance with these standards, in addition to a review process and consultation with The Sibley Group’s Executive Director.
While The Sibley Group goes to great lengths to ensure fair treatment for all participants and to anticipate and prevent any potential issues in the process of our continuing education offerings, there may occasionally be issues which require attention of the Continuing Education Director. The Sibley Group’s Executive Director Dr. Allison Sibley LICSW will also consult will also consult with the Continuing Education Director as needed regarding any complaints about the speaker, course content, or issues in accessing the course which they feel escalate to a formal grievance. The Continuing Education Director may use the following, in conjunction with other applicable options, to address the grievance: attempt to move the participant to another workshop or presentation, provide a credit for a subsequent year's workshop, or provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee. The Continuing Education Director may also provide a summary of the grievance to the course facilitator while ensuring the attendee’s anonymity. If the complaint involves the Continuing Education Director, then the participant may email or send mail to the Executive Director, who will address the complaint with the Continuing Education Director while ensuring the attendee’s anonymity.

This online training is designed for mental health providers including Social Workers, Psychologists, Professional Counselors, and other professionals interacting with populations engaging in mental health based services. This course is designed for all levels of experience including beginner level.
