About this course

The “EMDR Therapy Refresher Course” is a 3-hour pre-recorded webinar designed for EMDR-trained therapists who want to refresh their knowledge, sharpen their clinical skills, and deepen their confidence in using EMDR therapy. This interactive training provides an overview of the AIP model and the 8-phase protocol, practical strategies for addressing common challenges that arise during EMDR Therapy, and updates on research and best practices in the field. Through case examples, discussions, and skill-building exercises, participants will revisit key principles and techniques to enhance their effectiveness in supporting clients through the transformative process of EMDR therapy. Whether you’re seeking to fine-tune your skills, clarify concepts, or re-energize your practice, this refresher course will equip you with tools and insights to take your EMDR work to the next level.

  • Amanda Good

    Amanda Good, LICSW, EMDR-C, is the Clinical Director at The Sibley Group in Washington DC, where she has been a psychotherapist for adolescent and adult clients for 15 years. She specializes in treating stress, anxiety, and trauma related symptoms, and is certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) and an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Consultant-in-Training.

    Amanda writes, teaches, and consults on a variety of topics relating to trauma treatment, and is passionate about making mental health concepts and treatment easily understandable for clinicians and clients alike. Using a blend of evidence-based treatments including EMDR, IFS, EFFT, CBT, and DBT, as well as a deeply grounded and relational approach, Amanda provides therapy and teaches therapists to go beyond symptom management to healing root problems and achieving lasting change.
